Real-Time Software Analysis
DSP/BIOS provides a common platform for DSP software development and deployment that spares programmers the time-consuming chore of recreating software. DSP/BIOS' standard services promote interoperability among development tools laying the groundwork for integrated development environments that enable developers to seamlessly transition from one tool to the next within a unified visual setting. More importantly, DSP/BIOS provides real-time facilities that enhance all aspects of DSP software development including production, testing and maintenance.
During the development phase, DSP/BIOS provides pre-emptive multitasking, interrupt processing, and I/O services to simplify the design of complex real-time applications.
During the debug phase, DSP/BIOS' host-based BIOScope tools monitor data capture, event logging and statistics facilities that are embedded in the application. BIOScope sends and receives information from the target application while it is running.
Once the program is ready for deployment in the field, the DSP/BIOS instrumentation facilities can provide manufacturing test and field service diagnostics.
