Radio Frequency (RF) Technical Briefs

TI's wireless RF technical briefs are intended to provide detailed technical information about topics known to be key to designing and implementing effective wireless RF transceivers. Each technical brief provides insight into the issues and pitfalls related to the brief's topical area.

In general, these technical briefs are not product specific and thus are not simply product marketing tools. Instead they are used as vehicles for conveying key information, some of which will be familiar to the experienced wireless RF designer. In some instances product specific information is used to provide an example to illustrate specific design considerations.

For those customers new to wireless RF design, if the information contained in these technical briefs is beyond your experience base, please refer to our list of RF consultants. These RF consultants are provided as resources to assist wireless system developers, with little or no RF design experience, with implementation of the "radio" portion of wireless products.

  • Wireless Receiver Sensitivity Enhancement Considerations - available 3Q98
  • Integer-N and Fractional-N Phase-Locked-Loop Basics - available 3Q98
  • RF Printed Circuit Board layout Consideration - available 3Q98
  • Fractionl-N Phase-Lock Loop Design Example - available 3Q98
