RF Product Evaluation

RF Product evaluation can be very challenging and sometimes frustrating. TI's Evaluation Modules (EVMs) are designed to assist customers with rapid RF product evaluation with minimal effort. These EVMs provide the signal bypassing, impedance matching, etc. necessary to ensure the customer spends his/her valuable time evaluating the performance of the product rather than spending time troubleshooting issues with the evaluation board or evaluation software.

In addition to product evaluation boards configured for specific wireless standards, TI has S-parameter (S-PAR) boards for RF amplifier products. These S-PAR boards include supply voltage bypassing as well as 50 ohm connectors for the RF ports. In addition, a complete set of calibration standards are included on the same board to ensure accurate calibration (e.g. board thickness and linewidth variations are strongly correlated between the product's transmission line and the transmission lines associated with the calibration standards).
