TI offers faster ALVC logicNew devices in the Advanced Low-Voltage CMOS (ALVC) 3.3-V family of system logic provide TI’s highest-performance low-voltage logic in an extensive array of product and packaging options. Manufactured with TI’s 0.6-micron CMOS process technology, the new devices will benefit workstations, notebook computers, memory modules, networking equipment and other high-performance applications.
ALVC devices with enhanced speeds
Faster speeds are also planned for the remainder of TI’s ALVC family. The ALVC devices have reduced maximum propagation delays by up to 15 percent, allowing designers to specify lower propagation delays in their systems. The devices also feature a constant minimum propagation delay, which narrows the best and worst cases with reduced propagation delay margin, simplifying system design. Each new device features bus hold, which eliminates the need for external pull-up resistors. Other features include a high current drive of 24 mA and low static power consumption of 40 mA for bus interface tasks. Some of the devices include innovative functions for memory interleaving, multiplexing and interfacing to SDRAMs and series resistors. Many of the functions are available with integrate series damping resistors to reduce signal overshoot and undershoot. These devices are now available from TI and TI authorized distributors.
