TPA0102: 1-chip stereo solution The TPA0102 stereo audio power amplifier provides a complete high-fidelity stereo audio solution for notebook computers, speakerphones, next-generation modems and other systems with a design premium on low power consumption and space savings.
Features include extremely low distortion, a high level of output power, a stereo mux that allows different equalization between speakers and headphones, switching capability between single-ended and bridged loads in a single device, and a super-low-profile thermally enhanced package. The TPA0102 is characterized for both 5-V and 3.3-V operation. The TPA0102 is available in TI's patented PowerPAD 24-pin TSSOP package. The PowerPAD package uses an exposed thermal pad, which can be soldered directly to the PCB, to provide extra heatsinking. With only 1.25 In2 of copper area, the PowerPAD package can dissipate more than three times the power at room temperature than a standard TSSOP with zero airflow. For multi-layer board applications with a ground plane, the PowerPAD package usually requires no extra board space for heatsinking.
