TI Ventures

As the DSP Solutions leader, TI is constantly looking for new products, platforms and appli-cations that complement TI’s core technology. In this search, TI partnered in 1996 with Hambrecht and Quist Venture Associates to create TI Ventures, a unique venture capital fund that invests in early stage technology companies focused on software and hardware applications that leverage DSP and other related technologies.

TI has committed $100 million to venture capital activity, $65 million of which has been allocated to TI Ventures. TI serves as the venture’s sole limited partner and contributes capital as well as technical and marketing due diligence. H&Q Venture Associates, which along with its predecessor has invested more than $1 billion over its 30-year history, serves as general partner and has responsibility for managing the portfolio.
