TSB11LV01
Product DescriptionThe TSB11LV01 is a 3.3V, one port cable transceiver/arbiter that supports cable data transfer rates of 100 Mbps. It performs system initialization and arbitration functions, as specified by the IEEE-1394-1995 High Performance Serial Bus Standard. The TSB11LV01 is designed to interface with a link layer controller (LLC), such as the TSB12LV21 or TSB12LV31. In addition, all Digital I/Os are 5V tolerant. The data interface to the LLC is provided through two parallel lines operating at 50 Mbps, and all LLC interface lines support IEEE Annex J optional electrical isolation. A cable inactivity monitor output and power down input provide "sleep-mode" power savings. Target Applications
The TSB11LV01 provides a way to add 1394 connections to any high speed digital device requiring a 1394 cable port. Evaluation Module (EVM) kits are available from TI that can be used as a starting point for peripheral design.
