Integrated Power Management Solutions

TPS9111:Single-chip cellphone baseband power supply

TPS9104:Integrated power supply and audio for wireless systems

TPS9103:Power supply for GaAs power amplifiers

High Performance LDO's

  • Interfaces the battery with other components
    • Allows the phone to operate from less battery current; extends battery life
    • Very low drop out voltage & current consumption
  • TPS71XX: First generation
  • TPS72XX: Smaller, lower cost version
  • TPS73XX: On-chip micro-processor reset

Switches

  • Several P-Channel MOSFETs to suit the desired cost/performance tradeoff

Supply Voltage Supervisor

  • TLC7705
  • Monitors voltage going into the microcontroller.
  • Resets the micro upon power-on, and after voltage drops below minimum levels.
  • Delay time is adjustable.
  • Low power CMOS process - much better for wireless than bipolars.
