Now at $995, new TMS320C62x EVM saves designer development time

TI’s TMS320C62x EVM is a comprehensive development platform that gives designers a way to run application software on target ’C62x hard-ware, allowing them to benchmark their system. The kit saves designers the time and expense of building their own board, in-turn, allowing them to get powerful ’C62x-based designs to market quickly.

Until October 15, 1998, the ’C62x EVM is offered at a special price of US $995. This represents a savings of US $1,000 over the list price of US $1,995. Code-generation tools alone are normally priced at US $1,495.

Designers around the world are already using ’C62x DSPs to significantly increase the performance and integration of multichannel communications systems. The ’C62x EVM accelerates this task by allowing designers to immediately run and optimize ’C62x application code to meet their design needs. The EVM’s hardware design information and software application programming interfaces (APIs) also provide a reference design that simplifies ’C62x-based hardware and software development.
