Power interface for PC cards

The TPS2211 PC Card power interface provides an integrated power management solution featuring a single-slot parallel control interface that is compatible with PC Card controllers from TI, Cirrus and Intel. The '2211 contains the discrete power MOSFETs, logic section, current limiting, thermal protection and low voltage mode required for PC Card applications. The device allows the distribution of 3.3-, 5- and 12-V power to PC Cards, with a 3.3-V mode of operation that supports switching without the need for the higher voltages, thus facilitating low power system designs.

TPS2211 16-pin SSOP $ 2.02
Suggested retail pricing in U.S. dollars in 1K quantity.

TPS2211 features

  • Single-slot device
  • Meets PC Card standards
  • Low rDS(on): 70 m[ohm sign] at 5 and 3 V
  • 3.3-V mode
  • 12-V supply can be disabled except during flash programming
