300-dpi linear sensor array

The new TSL1301 300-dpi CMOS linear sensor array offers high sensitivity for faster scan rates, lower-cost illumination and higher signal-to-noise ratio in a wide variety of scanner applications. With low noise, low pixel response non-uniformity (PRNU) and low non-linearity, the TSL1301 is sufficient for 256 gray-scale (8-bit) operation. The 102-pixel device features very low image lag, 2-MHz operation, supply operation and synchronous integration to minimize image skewing. Associated charge amplifier circuitry and a pixel data hold function provide simultaneous integration start and stop times for all pixels.

TSL1301 8-pin DIP $3.45
Suggested retail pricing in U.S. dollars in 1K quantity.

TSL1301 features

  • Low non-linearity error for 256 gray-scale operation
  • 2-MHz operation increases throughput
  • Applications include:
    • Mark and code reading
    • OCR and contact imaging
    • Edge detection and positioning
    • Optical encoding
