High-speed 2-A MOSFET drivers

New members of the TPS281x family of MOSFET drivers combine high output drive current with SOT-23 packages for minimal space requirements. The TPS2816, TPS2817, TPS2818 and TPS2819 single-channel drivers are designed for use in switching power supplies in applications such as motor drivers, power supply and automobiles. Supplying up to 2 A of peak current while driving highly capacitive loads, the devices minimize shoot-through currents and consume very low supply currents while providing optimum rise and fall times. An integrated regulator extends the normal 4-V to 14-V operating range up to 40 V, minimizing external component requirements.

The '2816 and '2818 are inverting drivers; the '2817 and '2819 are non-inverting. The '2816 and '2817 have internal active pull-ups on the input pin for use with pulse-width modulators (PWMs) that have open-drain or open-collector outputs.

TPS2816, 2817, 2818, 2819 SOT-23 $0.45
Suggested retail pricing in U.S. dollars in 1K quantity.
