Low-voltage opto-isolated feedback amps

The new TPS5908 and TPS5910 opto-isolated feedback amplifiers make the design of isolated feedback loops for 3.3-V switch mode power supplies easier and more cost-effective. The devices act as comparators with optically coupled output, combining the TLV431 1.24-V programmable voltage reference and an opto-coupler in the same package for reduced component count and space savings. The '5910 is identical to the '5908, with the added feature of having the phototransistor brought out to an external pin for greater flexibility.

Both of these devices are available in two ranges of current transfer ratio (CTR): 100 to 400 percent CTR (standard) and 100 to 300 percent CTR ("A" version).

TPS5908,5910 8-pin DIP, 8-pin DCS $0.90
TPS5908A,5910A 8-pin DIP, 8-pin DCS $0.95
Suggested retail pricing in U.S. dollars in 1K quantity.
