TI&ME offers personalized web information retrieval
Design engineers will have an easier time staying informed on technology from Texas Instruments, thanks to an upgraded service on TI's World Wide Web (WWW) site.
TI's new TI&ME Internet Information Service provides information matched to an individual's personal preferences, including how he or she would like to receive the information (e.g., print, personalized web page or e-mail). TI&ME automatically creates a customized web page to meet the personal preferences of every visitor.
The visitor's personal web page features summaries of new product announcements, application notes and technical white papers. Hotlinks are provided to the full documentation. To keep engineers aware of new information as it is added to TI's web site, TI&ME also will generate an optional personal weekly e-mail newsletter including any new information from the subscriber's areas of interest.
Aside from the TI&ME service, an engineer can access the TI web site and use any of several search methods to reach TI's online library of technical documentation for more than 10,000 semiconductor devices. Besides keyword and part number searches, users can navigate through product/family functionality decision tree or use the powerful parametric search engine to specify desired performance characteristics. A search result will highlight all available technical documentation such as data sheets, application manuals and user guides. The user will also see packaging and pricing modules.
