TI, Ariel join to develop DSP products

Texas Instruments and Ariel Corporation recently signed a five-year cooperative development and licensing agreement that will enable TI to develop tailored, end-to-end system solutions to meet customers' needs.

Under the arrangement, TI will license Ariel's software, which will be incorporated into future products using TI's digital signal processors (DSPs).

Ariel, a software manufacturer with expertise in real-time environments and Windows™ drivers, is a third-party vendor of TI's DSPs. The company is a leading supplier of remote access equipment for applications such as Internet and corporate Intranet access, on-line services, transaction processing and unified messaging.
