High-speed, light-to-voltage converters

The latest optoelectronics addition features two precision high-speed, light-to-voltage converters, the TSL253 and TSL254. Each one integrates a 1-mm square photodiode, a transimpedance amplifier (feedback resistor of 16 mohm for TSL253 and 1 mohm for TSL254) plus feedback components.

Using TI's advanced silicon-gate LinCMOS™ technology, these new devices offer improved amplifier offset-voltage stability and low power consumption. The TSL253 and TSL254 provide high speed and high irradiance responsivity at a low cost-to-performance ratio for cost-sensitive markets. The devices convert light intensity to a voltage output and are well-suited for targeted applications such as lighting controls, proximity sensors and photography.

TSL253 3-pin clear package $0.90
